Photos Around Guam

The sailor's first time off to sea!

On board the "Margarita" for a snorkeling cruise around Southern Guam

Josh preparing to snorkel at Coral Gardens, a beautiful spot not too far from shore in Southern Guam

Wow, fish really go crazy for a slice of banana!

A lone fisherman (Notice the contrast of the ocean and the hills in the background...it's really quite lovely!)

Riding out to sea...nothing is there as far as the eye can see!

A pretty little island set away from the mainland...apparently another great place to snorkel

My first team triathalon (I just did the swimming)...can you pick me out of the crowd?!

Almost done!

The swimming course (without the buoys now)...all in all, not a bad place to compete!

Looking through a forest of sorts out to the palm trees and water at Nimitz Beach

A postcard worthy view at Nimitz Beach

San Luis Beach on the Navy Base...a great place to meet Josh for a quick picnic lunch

Look at the upper right corner of this shot and you'll see...a "Dori" fish! (I believe the scientific name is Picasso Triggerfish, but Josh and I call it the "Dori" fish because it looks like Dori from Finding Nemo!)

A small cluster of the many free-roaming chickens and chicks found around the island (and usually near the road)

Nobody ever said boonie dogs (stray dogs of Guam) were smart...

Josh showing off a (smelly) old bunker from the war

A beautiful sunny day at the beach, which can turn into an...

...extremely rainy day at the beach in a matter of minutes!

Plumeria...one of the most beautiful, fragrant, and prolific flowers on Guam!

A dinner picnic at Ypao Beach for Mandi's birthday...there could have been worse ways to celebrate!

A beautiful birthday sunset!
